Make Zimbra Web Client Default for E-mails

This post is short and sweet. Are you or your users only using the Zimbra web client? Do they complain about having no “mailto” abilities since they don’t have a mail client installed on their machines?

Simple fix:  Add it to the registry!**

HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\mailto\shell\open\command — then the “data” for (DEFAULT) REG_EXPAND_SZ  is:  explorer “https://zimbra.yourdomain.com/zimbra/?view=compose&to=%1”

    I found replacing “explorer” with “chrome” worked nicely for me. (I don’t want my users using anything other than Chrome)

      Great point, Dave! We weren’t using Chrome at the time of writing this post but now we are!
